Where are we? Entrapped in the sonic labyrinths built by one of the key figures of Melbourne (Naarm)’s underground scene - Reptant. Across this three- tracker, he reveals a more tech-house-driven side under his Ulo S. alias, delivering 808-powered workouts woven with alien low-end mutations and hallucinatory atmospheres.

Splitting time between his hometown of Naarm and a relentless touring schedule, Reptant’s reputation now precedes him worldwide as one of the most in-demand live acts. We were lucky to catch him at exactly the right moment - just as he returned home from tour, reunited with a newly acquired RE-808. A faithful replica of an instrument that’s been circulating for about 45 years, the 808 continues to prove it still has vast unexplored territory, especially in the hands of such a visionary producer.
