Techno Music is a musical genre belonging to electronic dance music (EDM) born in Detroit, USA, in the 1980s. A techno track is structured in a simple way: it is usually the progressive overlap of the loop of the length of 1/2, 1, or 2 or more bars, generally following equal numbers. The number of loops that make up the loop increases depending on the complexity of the song sought by the composer. The percussion section is fundamental: a synthetic low-noise sound that emulates the battery bundle generally holds strong times, but sounds placed on mid-acute frequencies keep the time slower. It is necessary, however, to determine which techno is being talked about, since if you consider the first songs cataloged with that name, it is often synthetic electronic pieces of different structural features, often without base percussion.

  • MINIMAL

The minimal techno is a line of electronic music and a special subtitling of Techno Music, not far from Micro House and Techno Glitch. It may be characterized by melodic sounds, which should bring the auditor to a mental journey, or by "minimal" electronic sounds that lead to the total absence of melody. In both cases, even being an electronic genre based on "loops" (repetitions of a certain number of beats - usually 2 or 4 - for a certain number of times - usually a verse is made up of 32 beats -), the genre tends to become almost "hypnotic" in order to induce the listener to a so-called "trip". The most commonly used time is 4/4, with a B.P.M. from 124 to 128.

The almost obsessing repetition of the verses and the lack of variations justifies the "minimal" term associated with this musical genre.

It is a genre based on sound experimentation; Electronic drum rhythms (often from the Drum Machine Roland TR-808 and TR-909) are accompanied by repetitive bass lines. Synthesizers are used to fill the sound spectrum or to characterize song arrangement, hi-hats, and rides to develop, enrich and cure mid-high frequencies. Also used is the white noise in order to fill the mix.
